You can choose between two book styles:
B4M Style: Our signature design featuring personalized avatars for each participant, colorful pages and a playful, creative look.
Clean Style: A modern, minimalist design with a more elegant look. You can also upload your own photo for the book cover.
Both styles can be personalized to make your book truly unique.
Getting started takes just 3–5 minutes! Choose a template, customize your book and invite your friends, family or colleagues. As the book’s creator, you’re the Author, giving you full control over the book’s content and design. We recommend allowing participants at least 3–5 days to add their contributions.
No, you can create a book using just your email address. However, creating an account makes it easier to access and manage your books. Your personal dashboard gives you a clear overview of all your book projects in one place. Participants can contribute without registering.

You’ll receive a personal link by email when you create your book. You can also log in to your account or use our recovery page to regain access.
Books4Memories guarantees different storage depends on your project’s status:

You decide which personal details, stories and photos you share in your book. Participants don’t need to provide an email address when contributing through an invitation link. For more details, please see our please see our Privacy Policy.
Our printed books come in A5 portrait format (14,8 × 21 cm), with a hardcover or softcover and matte paper. You can also include photos, personal messages, voice recordings and videos, which can be enjoyed in the online version.
You can invite participants directly by email or share an invitation link via WhatsApp, Messenger or other channels. Everyone can contribute without registering. When inviting participants by email, automatic reminders are sent, and you can track each person’s progress in your book overwiew. With link invitations, you’ll need to send reminders yourself and can only see contributions that have been submitted.
Absolutely! Multiple participants can create their own pages simultaneously. Each person works on their individual contribution, while you manage the overall book as its creator.

Printing takes 4-6 working days (Monday to Friday), depending on the book format.
As a Participant / Co-Creator, you can:
Yes! You can set a deadline when inviting participants, so everyone knows when their contribution should be completed. Make sure to allow enough time for everyone to participate.
Yes! Participants invited by email receive automatic reminders before the deadline. If you share an invitation link instead, you’ll need to send reminders yourself.
You and your participants can upload photos and videos to the shared gallery after completing your profile pages. As the Author, you can also add photos and videos directly from your book dashboard at any time. Photos appear in the printed book, while videos are represented by QR codes that link to the online book, where they can be watched.
Both the Author and participants can record a personal voice message directly on their profile pages. Voice messages can be played in the online book, which is accessible via a QR code in the printed version.
Yes! If you were invited by email, you can return to your personal page using your original invitation link and make changes. If you joined through a shared link, you can only edit your contribution if you previously saved it using your email address. Otherwise, you’ll need to ask the Author to make changes for you.
As the Author, you have full control over the entire book. You can edit, rearrange or delete any contributions, including your own and those of other participants, at any time before ordering.
You can choose between a printed hardcover, a printed softcover or a digital online book. The online version is included with every printed book and lets you enjoy videos and voice messages alongside the book’s content.
Our platform currently doesn’t support combining multiple book projects or different book versions (hardcover and softcover) in a single order. We understand how important a flexible ordering process is and are keeping this a key priority for future platform development.
Of course! You can preview the entire book before placing your order. The preview shows exactly how your printed book will look, so you can check all pages, photos, videos and texts before purchasing.

Once your printed book has entered production, no further changes can be made to the printed version. However, any subsequent changes or newly added profiles will be saved in the online book.
We offer bulk discounts when ordering multiple copies of the same book. You can find more details on our Pricing Page.

Our books are individually produced, so cancellation is generally not possible once an order has been confirmed and production has started. If you need to cancel, please contact us immediately so we can check the available options.
Each book is individually printed in Germany. Production usually takes 4–6 working days, excluding shipping. We recommend ordering early if you need your book for a specific occasion.
You can check the status of your order at any time in your book dashboard. There are three stages:
Submitted: Your book has been ordered.
In production: Your book is being printed.
Dispatched: Your book has been printed and shipped.
Once your book has been dispatched, you’ll automatically receive an email with a tracking link to follow your shipment.
We ship within Germany and to the following European countries:
Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Premium Shipping: To ensure that every book arrives safely, we ship exclusively with a tracking code
Express Shipping: Not yet available – Expedited shipping with a tracking code
Germany:
Our books are shipped including tracking and priority for which we charge € 4,90.
Europe:
We also ship to other countries within Europe. Shipping comes with shipment tracking.
We have two cost categories:
Category 1 – 6,90 € (Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden)
Category 2 – 14,90 € (Norway, United Kingdom, Switzerland)
Germany: Since each book needs to be printed individually, delivery will happen within 8 working days from order.
Europe: Since each book needs to be printed individually, and delivery to another country takes longer, you can expect 2-3 weeks from order to delivery.
So, in case you need the book at a fixed date (e.g. for a party), order early enough!
But in any case, you always have the online sharable version to show as fallback option.
Yes! Simply enter the recipient’s address as the delivery address during checkout. This is a convenient option if you’re creating the book as a surprise gift.

In case the delivered goods have a defect (such as insufficient printing quality, missing pages, etc.), please go to the Reclaim Page and submit a request describing your case. We will then check your case and get in touch with you immediately.
Obvious defects have to be reported immediately within 14 days.
Further, please note that all books are uniquely produced and reclaims will only be granted in case of valid reasons (see some examples on the linked page)
